I'm an Oregon winemaker with an international background. My father was born in South Africa and much of my family lives there. “Lolati” was the name of my great grandfather’s farm near Cape Town and is loosely translated to "back and forth," which is an apt description of his journey to becoming a farmer and mine in becoming a winemaker. 

I love to make a variety of wines including big reds using fruit I source from various vineyard sites around Washington. One can enjoy a wide selection of wines in my intimate tasting room on my property in Sherwood.

Wine tasting can be intimidating for some people, so we decided to make the process approachable and fun. At Olea Vineyards, we let you be your own wine critic and craft your tasting notes for our wines, so you can enjoy your tasting experience without pressure or pretense.

The vineyard is a major part of our lives. While the estate was originally started in 1995 under the name Gemini Vineyards by the Hatfield family, we have maintained the family-owned and operated tradition while also expanding the estate to what it is today. Our family traditions are a blend of Australian and American, and this blend is also fostered through the vineyard management practices we use.

The inspiration behind our work is our twin boys, Raymond and Samuel. When we first looked at the property and learned of its name, there was an instant connection, as Gemini is the sign for twins. Our hope is to cultivate healthy, happy, and hardworking kids, and we are in the perfect spot to do so.

At Blakeslee Vineyard Estate, we craft elegant, award-winning Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Rosé, and White Pinot Noir from estate-grown grapes in Oregon’s Chehalem Mountains AVA, nestled in the Willamette Valley. 

As a boutique winery producing approximately 1,500 cases annually, we offer a thoughtfully curated, small-lot experience just four miles from downtown Sherwood.

Marr Cellars is a small, husband-and-wife-owned boutique winery tucked away in the beautiful Chehalem Mountain Range on Parrett Mountain in Sherwood, Oregon. Specializing in Rhône-style wines like Viognier, Grenache, Grenache Rosé, and GSM, each bottle is handcrafted with care in small, unique lots inspired by the Rhône region’s charm. Our limited production means every bottle is a rare treat, perfect for sharing with friends, enjoying with family, or savoring in peaceful moments. Rob, our winemaker, has over 11 years of experience, starting with humble experiments—sometimes even fermenting grapes in the bathtub. 

In 2019, we moved from Colorado to Oregon to start our own vineyard. Our family, 3 generations- hand-planting our vines in 2021, including Pinot and Chardonnay. The property is alive with wildlife—deer, bobcats, coyotes, owls, hawks, raccoons, and even the occasional bald eagle.  Come enjoy a glass of wine with us!

Sherwood Hills Winery is located atop Parrett Mountain at approximately 750 feet in elevation. The combination of sun exposure, ideal soil and meticulous farming grow a grape with optimal depth of flavor. We welcome you to visit and enjoy!
